Treatment for current bronchitis relapse (after completing 1st 4 days of nebulising)
Ventolin: 2 puffs every 4-6 hours (for 1-2 weeks or till wheezing ends)
Flixotide: 2 puff 2 times daily till 7th December appointment.
September - October: start ventolin (2 puffs every 4-6 hours in addition to Flixotide) the moment ER COUGHS
November - December: start ventolin (2 puffs every 4-6 hours in addition to Flixotide) the moment ER PANTS
Did the dr mention anything asthma?
ReplyDeleteYup. She said she wants to keep it under control so hopefully he doesn't become asthmatic when he's older. Supposed to be 3 months 'treatment', reduce and stop once he's stronger but the haze so easily caused a relapse dr said the 3 months cycle must restart.
ReplyDeleteI read about growth retardation. Dr weighed it and said if it keeps coming back, he won't grow well either, and has to suffer.
:( this is like the lesser of 2 evils.
